Job Description
The Physical Therapist Aide helps administer our physical therapy program following all current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure the highest quality care at all times.
The role consists of assisting patients in exercise, helping therapists with carrying out plans of care, and general upkeep of clinic.
Familiarity with gym equipment and therapy-based exercises preferred. Great learning experience for someone interested in physical therapy.
Candidates must have a pleasant and courteous personality, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and good computer skills.
Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Helps the Physical Therapist with all aspects of the program, including scheduling and helping during therapy sessions
- Manages supplies and ensures orderly work areas
- Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- One year of relevant experience preferred
- Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, staff, vendors, and others
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the internet
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications a plus
