PURPOSE OF POSITION: To ensure guest, member and employee satisfaction in Housekeeping. To provide a safe environment for our guests, members and employees. To achieve budgeted profitability by adhering to Service and Safety Standards and exercising fiscal responsibility and sound management practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous management experience required
- Prior housekeeping knowledge preferred
- Be self-motivated, customer service oriented and have a positive attitude
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be physically fit
- Must have a Utah driver’s license
- Must be computer literate
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English helpful, but not required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit, manage, train, develop and evaluate performance of a highly effective team of housekeeping personnel, to ensure guest, member and employee satisfaction. Training to include Customer Service, Safety, Departmental Policies and Procedures, job functionality and grooming
- Ensure weekly schedules provide quality coverage and effective workflow in Housekeeping and adherence to budgetary guidelines and occupancy levels
- Demonstrate proactive problem resolution with respect and empathy. Document problems and review in staff meetings
- Coach staff in updated knowledge of housekeeping practices, products, techniques and standards
- Attend and contribute to weekly department manager staff meetings
- Reinforce professionalism in department by adherence to dress standards and grooming. Institute control checklists as appropriate
- Inspect logbook, inventories, supplies, buildings and payroll reports
- Cross train all full-time housekeeping staff to fill in as needed in other areas of the department
- Ensure high level of service, safety and profitability by working with other departments to foster a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
- Monitor payroll
- Responsible for timely submission of all paperwork, timesheets, gratuity allocation and piece rate totals to Human Resource Department
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of chemicals, cleaning supplies, amenities, linens and guest room supplies to operate effectively within budget
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
PAY RATE:
- Pay: $65,000 - 70,000 per year
