What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver - CDL A 2nd Shift position at Deister Machine Company?
DUTIES:
- Transport materials and machinery between 5 local buildings
- Loads and unloads truck by forklift or hoist
- Puts materials away in warehouse or manufacturing facility
- Maintains truck log(s) according to State and Federal regulations
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
- Prepares receipts for loads picked up and delivered
- Transport materials to and from vendors
- Communicates with supervisors and other leaders to receive delivery and pick up instructions
- Local driving only
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- State CDL License required
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Must have previous forklift certification or experience
- No recent moving or driving violations
