Delamar Hotel & Spa in West Hartford CT is seeking an experienced Spa Supervisor to run the daily operation of a busy, upscale spa located within the hotel.
Position Summary:
As the Spa Supervisor at our luxury hotel spa, you will support the Spa Manager in delivering an exceptional five-star wellness experience. You will oversee daily operations, lead a team of professional therapists and front desk staff, and ensure that service standards meet the expectations of our clientele. Your focus will be on enhancing guest satisfaction, supporting spa revenue growth, and maintaining the serene, immaculate environment that defines our brand.
Key Responsibilities: Guest Experience:
- Ensure the highest level of personalized service for all spa guests, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations.
- Handle VIP guests, special requests, and service recovery with discretion and professionalism.
- Maintain a calm, welcoming atmosphere aligned with the hotel’s luxury standards.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise spa therapists and coordinators ensuring professionalism, grooming, and performance.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of staff on guest service, treatment protocols, and product knowledge.
- Conduct regular team briefings and support a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Operations & Standards:
- Oversee spa operations including opening/closing procedures, appointment scheduling, and facility maintenance.
- Maintain the presentation, hygiene, and safety of all treatment rooms and public spa areas.
- Ensure adherence to luxury hospitality standards and health regulations.
Sales & Revenue Support:
- Promote spa services, treatments, and exclusive retail products to maximize sales and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with inventory management, product ordering, and retail displays.
- Support the Spa Manager in implementing promotions and seasonal offerings.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage staff schedules and ensure optimal coverage during peak hours.
- Liaise with other hotel departments (housekeeping, engineering, front office) to ensure seamless service.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a luxury spa, wellness center, or five-star hotel environment.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong understanding of spa treatments, therapies, and luxury service etiquette.
- Proficient in spa management systems
- Fluent in English (additional languages an asset).
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
