STORE MANAGER
Delaney Liquors is seeking an experienced Store Manager to help build and grow our business in one of our five CT locations. Must have exceptionally strong knowledge of wine, as well of strong knowledge of beer and spirits. As Store Manager, you will help grow our brand by building a friendly relationship with our customers while delivering the highest level of customer service. The right person will build upon existing company programs while assisting in the development of new ones and maintain a sales and service culture within the store to expand our customer base and maximize profitability. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, strong sales skills, and enjoy team building and leadership. The ideal candidate is fun to work with and has an optimistic outlook.
JOB DETAILS:
- Keep store fully staffed
- Maintain store inventory accuracy, product ordering, and vendor relationships
- Build a team environment which ensures staff members enjoy working in our store
- Build a warm, friendly customer service environment where customers enjoy shopping in our store
- Have strong communication skills
- Facilitate all aspects of service and sales
- Have strong computer skills
- Manage a large team of people
- Focus on customer experience, brand, and loyalty awareness by building relationships throughout the community
- Create and foster a sales-focused environment through the development of team members
- Participate in product knowledge and sales training and implement through team coaching
- Manage general operations and merchandising execution according to company procedures
- Ensure staffing and team member training meets store needs and company standards
- Lead the performance management process, including reviews and ongoing career development discussions
- Manage and participate in wine tastings, special events and promotions
- Other tasks and responsibilities assigned to you
SKILLS:
- Liquor industry experience and knowledge required.
- The ideal candidate is a leader, a team player with excellent communication skills
- A self-starter, one who can inspire and educate others.
- Lead the team by example in work ethic and your positive attitude while being results driven and team oriented.
- 21 years of age or older
- Minimum of 10 years retail sales, customer service, and/or hospitality management experience, preferably in a big box environment
- Experience leading and motivating a sales-focused team
- Experience developing team member performance and coaching
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires
WORK SCHEDULE:
- 40 - 48 hours per week, retail hours, some nights and weekend
PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8 hours a day
- Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly
