To Prepare menu items for banquet functions and main kitchen food production.

• Prepares hot items for banquets according to function sheets.
• Prepares items to be used by cutting, slicing, shredding, or peeling.
• Reads banquet functions as posted on banquet sheets.
• Rechecks banquet sheets every day with Chef on duty.
• Organizes banquet food production in accordance with BEO/party specifications and counts.
• Maintains food properly to avoid waste and to keep costs down.
• Marks, labels and dates all food production.
• Cleans up work area, tables, shelves, and refrigerators
• Follows general procedures listed in Chef’s office.
• Checks with supervisor regarding condition of station at the end of the shift.
• Assists in general department as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year cooking experience required
• Ability to perform proper knife skills
• Must be at least 18 years or older

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms.  The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.    
The position is indoors and outdoors; and is exposed to hot, humid and/or cold conditions at times.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet.
