What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomy Technician position at Delaware Diagnostic Labs?
Delaware, Delaware Diagnostic Labs is a established growing clinical laboratory. We are looking for a team oriented person as a full-time Phlebotomy Technician.
The candidate must be reliable and professional. This position will have a regular schedule but must be flexible to cover other hours and positions as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs basic lab procedures, such as: specimen collection (blood, urines, etc,) storing and shipping of lab specimens, accountability of specimens and notification of courier for specimen pick-ups
- Accessioning specimen and maintains specimen logs
- Processing urine specimens for screening testing
- Perform office duties including processing paperwork, verifying insurance, registering patients, entering billing information into system, and administrative support.
- Communicates on a regular basis with clients, supervisors, and marketing support
- Will have events in Hockessin, Wilmington, and Newark areas
- Valid Drivers License and personal vehicle required
Preferred experience and skills:
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must have strong multi-tasking abilities and computer literacy.
Prior phlebotomy experience required.
