The opportunity
Delaware North Travel is seeking a full-time Cashroom Clerk to join our team at New Orleans Airport in Kenner, Louisiana. As an Cashroom Clerk, you will be responsible for overseeing cash room operations including counting, reconciling, auditing cash across multiple terminals, reporting variances and training of staff on cash handling procedures. Physical requirements of the job may include extensive walking, lifting and carrying of heavy materials.

What will you do?
- Reconcile all cash drawers and safe count
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are being followed by all team member
- Properly handle team member cash outs on a shift basis and report any discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring accurate accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements during shift
- Prepare change orders as necessary
- Work with management team on loss prevention strategy
- Identify gaps in proper cash handling procedures and report findings to leadership
More about you
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Excellent accounting and general math skills required
- Prior experience handling large sums of money with accuracy strongly preferred
- Must have high level of integrity and an investigative mindset
- No experience or diploma required
