PROPOSAL WRITER and TECHNICAL EDITOR

DRG is seeking a talented Proposal Writer/Technical Editor to join our team in support of proposal development, contract execution and company editorials for publication. The ideal candidate must have the ability to quickly synthesize and translate technical information into clearly understandable content for our customers.

Tasks include outlining proposal requirements, timelines, and proposal writing in order to achieve technically acceptable responses to solicitation requirements.

This role requires astute writing skills, focus, accuracy, consistency, persistence, flexibility, and a willingness to communicate across multiple departments to ensure each assignment is completed in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• Research, write, format, edit, and proofread end-user content in support of proposals, contract execution (proposals, RFI responses, SSOWs, subcontracts, etc.), and company publications as directed.
• Researching client requirements, industry trends, and project specifics to tailor proposals effectively.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, BD and Capture teams, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure proposal accuracy and relevance.
• Provide clear, accurate, and understandable content in a variety of formats.
• Update and maintain boilerplate write-ups for technical content and Past Performance historical data
• Assist with schedules from documentation planning through technical review, submittal, and archiving.
• Assists higher-level employees with writing, organization, and/or technical documentation regarding proposal response.
• Assists in the analysis of solicitation requirement and/or instruction to offeror requirements.
• Maintain a library of proposal content, case studies, and other relevant materials for future reference.
• Works with the Proposal Coordinator, Capture Manager and supporting team to ensure all required elements for a submission or response are covered.
• Work collaboratively with SMEs, program managers, and other key stakeholders.
• Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders as requested.
• Stay abreast of industry developments and best practices in proposal writing.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Education/English/Journalism/Communications or similar or 2 -5 years relevant work experience as a proposal writer or technical writer performing comparable tasks to the ones described in this job posting.  Defense/Aerospace specific experience a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); Adobe Acrobat and SharePoint collaboration desired
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of the Federal Procurement Process a plus.
• Experience creating interactive or multimedia enhanced documents a plus.
