What are the responsibilities and job description for the Casual Plant Laborer-DGF position at DelGrosso Foods?
Educations & Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 18 years old. Previous food production experience preferred. Must be able to work/stand 8-10 hours per day and able to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Must be able to work in a team setting as well as independently. Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures doing physical work that requires repetitive motion.
Summary: Open cans, re-work products for packaging, assist in cook room with sauce and salsa production as needed. Clean and sanitize various areas throughout the plant.
Essential Functions:
- Open a high volume of #10 cans for production using a large can opener.
- Re-work and re-stack product on skids based on customer needs and request.
- Attach plastic clips to jars for packaging.
- Dump food products into kettles for sauce or salsa production.
- Run dust mop and clean warehouse as needed.
- Sanitize work area according to Company and Quality Assurance standards.
- Continuously using spray hose
- Walks on wet and slippery surfaces
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
- Report to and from work at assigned time.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Must be honest and reliable.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
