We’re partnered with a top-tier hedge fund ($10 B AUM) in Boston on the build out of a new centralized Quant Dev team. The leader of this team headed quant development for a Tier 1 Hedge Fund, so this is very exciting opportunity to join the team as one of the very first hires and work with an exceptional leader. This role will sit with investment teams and lead projects, closely collaborating closely with Portfolio Managers, Researchers, and Analysts. Very unique opportunity to come in at the ground floor of a high profile initiative within an extremely successful and established (30 year) asset manager. This is a lean firm with established engineering and infrastructure teams that have been working to modernize their tech stack and build cutting edge tools and applications. There is very little bureaucracy limiting the velocity of development and ideation, and this firm prides itself on its meritocratic culture, internal skills development programs, and internal mobility.
Opportunity:
This is a rare opportunity to help build a new quant development team and spearhead the design and implementation of greenfield systems from the ground up. As a Quant Developer, you’ll be instrumental in designing and implementing the infrastructure, tools, and systems for new and existing strategies.
- Help architect and develop this foundational systems (data pipelines, pricing engines, risk models, execution tools, etc.)
- Work directly with researchers, PMs, and analysts to translate ideas to productionize their ideas and strategies
Skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math or Physics
- 5 years of experience using Python or C
- 2 years of experience as a Quant Developer or Software Engineer directly supporting researchers, portfolio managers, or traders
Salary : $300,000 - $600,000
