Trading Systems Quant Developer | Elite Hedge Fund | Boston
I'm partnered with an elite hedge fund in Boston on an exciting Quant Dev hire that will spearhead a critical greenfield initiative.
This role will be responsible for rapidly prototyping, architecting, and building custom trading tools and applications tailored to individual Portfolio Manager and team's strategies across multiple asset classes. You'll dive deeply into the strategies themselves to become a valuable thought partner for each portfolio manager. You'll be tasked with understanding the intricacies of each strategy, and delivering intuitive, custom applications and tools to optimize the trading and execution process.

Opportunity:
- Partner with Portfolio Managers across multiple asset classes to understand their strategies
- Prototype, architect, and deliver intuitive, custom trading applications and tools to optimize the trading and execution process.
- We’re looking for exceptional engineering fundamentals, and the ability to wear multiple hats & drive complex projects from ideation to execution.
- These Portfolio Manager and their teams are looking for a thought partner that has the interest and ability to learn their business/strategies (not just an engineer focused on implementation).
Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math or Physics
- 5 years of experience with Python or C
- Experience building a trading system or complex, custom trading tools from scratch
- We are looking for a Quant Dev with deep knowledge of trading systems and, ideally, how to optimize their component parts for multiple strategies, asset classes, products, instruments, etc.
Nice to have:
- Macro experience is NOT required, but is a plus!
Salary : $300,000 - $600,000
