GENERAL SUMMARY: Delphinus Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Planner-Estimator in Norfolk, VA.
LOCATION: Norfolk, VA.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviewing solicitations
- Cataloging solicitations
- Briefing the leadership team on the solicitations received
- Being a part of the bid/no-bid decision making process
- Soliciting vendors and subcontractors
- Conducting shipchecks
- Developing labor hour and labor dollar estimates based on applicable contract Statement of Work (SOW), work specifications, drawings, technical publications, and references.
- Estimates to be developed using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) format
- Compiling labor estimate, material estimate, and subcontractor quotes into final estimate package
- Organizing and leading an estimate review process with the leadership team
- Submitting estimates to DEI contracts via appropriate Program Managers for final review and submittal
- Maintaining quote log and historical quotes folder
