Job Description:
The Material Handling Operator is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for and deliver results in the packaging function. Material Handling Operators monitors and operates low hazard equipment and facilities (i.e. packaging equipment, and fork truck), including field equipment, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
Operators maintain safety standards at all times and initiate and follow emergency procedures when necessary. Performs basic maintenance repair and upkeep on area equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of packaged products to standards.
- Monitor the packaging line, watching for problems such as product backing up, or jams.
- Stack finished packaged items, wrap protective material around each pallet using automated equipment.
- Stock product for packaging machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies
- Performing minor maintenance activity.
- Lead packaging employees in daily tasks.
- Maintaining housekeeping.

Ideal Profile:
- High school diploma or GED
- Willing and able to work a 24/7 rotating shift schedule including holidays, weekends, and any required overtime
- Willing and able to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 50lbs
- Willing and able to wear PPE
- Willing and able to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs and work from heights
