Role Description
- This is a full-time, on-site role in Metairie, LA
- The Benefits Specialist will handle daily tasks related to benefits administration, including managing employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations such as FMLA, and assisting employees with inquiries related to their benefits.
- Additional responsibilities include collaborating with insurance brokers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a seamless enrollment process for our clients and their employees.
- Guide clients and their employees through benefits enrollment with enthusiasm and expertise, making complex choices feel like a breeze
- Be the go-to expert for all things benefits-related, from health insurance and 401(k)s to life insurance and wellness programs
- Transform benefits administration into a smooth, efficient process that keeps everyone smiling
- Advocate for employees during claims resolution, turning potential headaches into happy outcomes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Benefits Administration and knowledge FMLA, COBRA, State Continuation and 401k regulations
- Familiarity with Insurance policies and options relevant to employee benefits
- Strong Communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex information
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining your cool
- Excellent Customer Service skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site office setting in Metairie, LA
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle sensitive employee information confidentially
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or 3 years of equivalent experience
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM or PHR) is a plus but not required
