Position Description: Delta College of Arts and Technology seeks a highly student-oriented licensed Registered Nurse to join our team as a full-time Practical Nurse Instructor for clinical and classroom instruction at our Lafayette Campus.
Other duties include:
The Practical Nurse Instructor's responsibilities include assisting the Practical Nursing faculty with instructional and curriculum support and training on educational resources, assisting with student and faculty orientation, and coordinating skills lab activities.
Other duties include:
- Supervising students during clinical rotations.
- Coordinating with clinicians at clinical sites.
- Developing and reviewing student assignments.
- Instructing students on how to perform duties at the clinical site.
- Teach theory courses as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
- Evaluating students' work.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Louisiana state RN license;

Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience;
- At least one year as a medical-surgical hospital staff nurse and/or current teaching experience in a Nursing Program.
- Ability to teach theory and clinical courses.
