What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Recruiter position at Delta Constructors?
Essential Job Functions:
- In partnership with human resources and Delta leadership, establishes and retains a proactive recruiting platform that is aligned with business goals of the company, monitors its progress, and makes changes when needed.
- Fulfills talent acquisition requests received from hiring managers, supervisors, and human resource personnel.
- Partners with hiring managers to identify candidates for prospective client and current assignments.
- Builds applicant sources by utilizing social media, recruitment tools, employment agencies, media, and internet sites.
- Manage full cycle recruitment process including posting job openings, conducting interviews, and making offers.
- Establishes and maintains solid relationships with hiring managers and key leaders across the organization.
- Prepares resumes and submits necessary documents to propose candidates for positions with hiring managers and/or clients.
- Provide guidance and support to new hires during onboarding and training.
- Attracts applicants by placing advertisements through recruitment tools and conventional methods; using company/contracts; newsgroups and job sites.
- Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; helps develop the process for interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications; analyzes responses; verifies references; compares qualifications to job requirements.
- Manages the applicant database, electronic and hard files.
- Attends job fairs and hiring events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business with a focus in Marketing, Human Resources or Communications.
- Five (5) years recruiting experience.
- Current and valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior recruiting experience in construction or oil and gas industries
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR/recruiting certifications preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Internet savvy and upholds strong research skills.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge and experience in creating/using databases.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in using Applicant Tracking Systems
- Knowledgeable of professional staff and craft positions in Construction, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry
- Demonstrated ability to build and uphold strong relationships.
- Exceptional time management and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to continuous change and rapid growth.
- Ability to flex hours and work longer shifts as needed to fulfill client and company staffing requests.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
