Delta Health is looking for a CRNA to join our Anesthesiology team!
We offer very competitive wages and will assist you with relocation costs up to $4,000. We are also offering a $10,000 hiring bonus with this position.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform and document a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient by obtaining an appropriate health history
- Develop and implement an anesthetic plan
- Initiates the anesthetic technique which may include: general regional, local and sedation, neuraxial.
- Select, apply and insert appropriate non-invasive and invasive monitoring modalities
- Select, obtain and administer the anesthetic, adjuvant and accessory drugs and fluids necessary to manage the anesthetic.
- Manage a patients airway and pulmonary status
- Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia by selecting obtaining ordering and administering medications
- Implement acute and chronic pain management modalities
- Respond to emergency situations by providing airway management, administration of emergency fluids and drugs, and using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques
- Obtaining, prepare, and use all equipment, monitors, supplies and drugs used for administration of anesthesia.
- Complies with all DCMH, Human Resources, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Attends and actively participates in departmental meetings and in-services.
- Accepts additional responsibilities which are within the expertise of the individual CRNA and appropriate to the practice setting.
- CRNA will act as a resource to pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia nurses
- Must be currently licensed to practice as a CRNA in the State of Colorado.
- BLS and ACLS Certifications required upon hire.
- PALS required upon hire or within 6 months.
- Compliance with relevant requirements for continuing education
- Two years of relevant experience preferred
- Must be able to respond to call in 30 minutes
- Must have the ability to work under extreme pressure
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides care to patients by administering safe, sound, and cost effective anesthesia. The CRNA provides anesthesia and pain management through the use of general anesthetics, regional, neuraxial, local, or sedation. They monitor and talk with the patient in the recovery room to ensure a safe recovery from the effects of anesthesia. The CRNA performs a pre-anesthetic evaluation on each elective and emergency patient. Recognizes alterations in physiologic responses to the surgical procedure and/or the anesthetic, takes appropriate action and notifies the responsible physician as indicated. The position has the responsibility to inspect and maintain anesthesia equipment, insuring that it is functioning properly and is safe to use. The CRNA also restocks and orders basic anesthesia supplies. CRNAs practice according to their expertise, state statutes and regulations, and institutional policy.
