GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Position will maintain communication center for citizens; municipal, county, state and national agencies and will receive and relay information and respond to urgent and emergency requests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain radio contact with all law enforcement agencies in Delta County as needed, responding to requests for information and assistance, as well as contacting public and private agencies and services as required.
Provide law enforcement with immediate investigative information including driver’s license and vehicle registration verification, Colorado Crime Information Center (CCIC) and National Crime Information Center (NCIC) wanted information, criminal history records (log separate) and other information as requested.
Answer, document, and respond to all 911 emergency calls dispatching medical and law enforcement assistance as required.
Ability and willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Position desires a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with the public and/or private institutions. Must be able to verbally communicate clearly and concisely. Good telephone skills and etiquette, public relations skills, basic computer and typing skill. Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations and manage multi-communication interactions at the same time. Knowledge of Colorado Bureau of Investigation computer systems preferred. Knowledge of 911 and administrative system (phones and screens) preferred.
Combination of education and experience could waive specific requirement.
Working rotating shifts, weekends and holidays is required.
