Tax Assistant

Delta Dallas is working with a tax firm located Downtown Dallas in its search for Tax Preparer Assistant. This person with assist the company's tax professionals with the preparation and filing of tax returns for the company's clients.

Duties include but not limited to :

• Organize and manage departmental activities, coordinate special projects, maintain electronic tax calendars for compliance filings, and deadlines
• Support the preparation and delivery of engagement letters for clients, ensuring accuracy and proper timelines
• Draft correspondences, and email, and / or send via Firm software
• Assist with tax return processing, including the collation electronic e-filing of various returns and extensions of all types
• Assemble and scan of documents
• Respond to verbal requests, phone calls, and written correspondence in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner, while interacting with all levels of employees
• Process invoices for payment and oversee the contract management process to ensure timely review and approval of external contracts
• Proofread and maintain accurate documentation, correspondence, and follow up on any open items to ensure responsiveness and compliance
• Manage and distribute incoming tax department mail and emails to the appropriate internal teams to ensure efficient communication and workflow
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client databases and filing systems
