Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive client-specific experience analysis to provide appropriate rates based on risk assessment and evaluation of smaller or less complex cases.
- Works with fellow underwriting team members through underwriting peer review process.
- Advises and provides guidance to sales and other internal customers on the underwriting rationale.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree is a great start, but candidates with proven related experience are also welcome. Ideally, you'll have one year or more of experience in underwriting within the healthcare industry.
- Communication Skills: Intermediate proficiency in both written and verbal communication is essential for interacting effectively with team members and internal sales clients.
- Mathematical Aptitude: Intermediate knowledge of mathematics is crucial for performing accurate evaluations.
- Detail-Oriented and Curious Mindset: Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills will help you thrive in this role.
- Preferred Knowledge: Familiarity with Current Dental Terminology (CDT) codes and dental nomenclature is a plus, though not mandatory.
