Delta Dental of Iowa invites candidates to serve as the initial positive, welcoming impression for all guests as the front desk Receptionist. You will use your strong interpersonal skills to greet and attend to all in person guests, handle appropriate phone calls, effectively converse with guests on general subjects, and over time, discuss specifics related to the company. You will also assist various departments with a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. This position is on-site and may be filled at either a full-time or part-time level (please specify your preference on application materials).

Essential Functions and Principal Accountabilities:
- Greet and assist all guests in a professional and friendly manner and follow protocols to direct guests to the appropriate person or department.
- Ensure adherence to all security procedures.
- Assist with meeting set up and kitchen upkeep.
- Perform general administrative and clerical support to assist various departments throughout the organization.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times, including adherence to specific dress code requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- Three or more years of experience serving as a receptionist or customer service in a professional office environment required.
- Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of employees and general public through the use of excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience using Microsoft word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures with strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept directions on given assignments.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Dependability in attendance and punctuality required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet with visitors and respond to their questions and concerns in a professional manner.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
