What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Services - Scheduler position at Delta Health System - The Medical Center?
Complete a thorough and full patient registration via telephone contact with the patient, guarantor, or referring provider prior to the patients arriving for their outpatient clinic, testing or surgery appointment
High School diploma or equivalent required
Previous clinical background preferred, such as Radiology Tech; preferred
One or more years’ experience in a patient access role required.Typing/computer skills necessary; a minimum of 35 wpm required
Knowledge of Medical Insurance,
Excellent telephone etiquette/communication
On the job training may be required after being hired, along with continuing educational requirements to maintain employment. .
