What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Housekeeper position at Dempsey Uniform and Linen Supply?
Our Industrial Facilities Janitor / Cleaner maintains the pristine appearance and overall cleanliness of our work areas, warehouse, administrative areas, outside areas, and production equipment.
This is a 40 hour per week job with available overtime. Schedule will be 3 12 hour shifts a week and then Saturday morning 6am thru 11am.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Cleans dust, grease, and lint from large industrial machines, auxiliary equipment, overhead pipes, conveyors, work stations, etc.
- Cleans floors using hand mop/duster or power floor scrubber
- Responsible for trash and recycling material collection and disposal
- Maintain all grounds, including sidewalks, public walkways, stairways, building exteriors, and garden areas in a neat and clean condition
- Other tasks may include painting/scrubbing walls/shelves/windows, etc.
- May be required to assist on specified facilities maintenance projects
- Performs all assigned duties in a safe fashion and in accordance with OSHA standards and directives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a highly reliable work performance record
- Must pass pre-employment checks
- Must have reliable transportation in order to report to work as scheduled
- Must meet the physical requirements of the position which may include standing for 10 hours per day, bending, twisting, squatting, repetitive hand motions such as grasping, and lifting a minimum of 15lbs
