The Dennis & Co. Auto Group is seeking an experienced Parts Manager for its expanding service team at our new BMW Dealership in Long Island City, NY. The Parts Manager will lead the parts department at a dealership, focusing on inventory control, staff management, and collaboration across departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. They are responsible for optimizing inventory levels, maximizing profitability, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the department.
- Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all department staff.
- Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the parts department.
- Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, wholesale accounts and the do-it-yourself public.
- Establishes pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
- Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover.
- Analyzes sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
- Develop and administers an aggressive wholesale parts program to produce profit.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of dealership parts management required.
- BMW experience a plus.
- CDK experience a plus but will train the right candidate.
- Excellent understanding of inventory control.
- Flexible working extended hours and weekends as required.
Education:
10 years related experience and/or training or combination of education and experience.
