What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Secretary position at Dent Neurologic Group LLP?
The Dent Neurosciences Research Center (DNRC) is seeking a full-time Research Secretary to support our Neuropharmacology team.
Position Summary:
Act as department secretary, providing administrative support as required to ensure the effective operations of the team. To act as regulatory document specialist, helping with completion, ongoing maintenance and organization of documentation to ensure proper conduct of clinical trials for the Dent Neurosciences Research center.
Responsibilities:
- Ordering and maintaining inventory of office supplies
- Assisting with daily department correspondence and calls
- Maintaining department financial records (bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable)
- Managing calendars and scheduling
- Creating and maintaining Investigator Site File (ISF) or regulatory binders necessary for compliance with human subject regulation
- Responding to sponsor/study monitor requests for documents or information in a timely fashion to meet deadlines
- Working with research staff in preparing submissions for the IRB including Initial Review Forms, Continuing Review Reports, and other documents and materials
- Maintaining ongoing documentation and communication with IRB
- Completing regulatory documents including FDA 1572s
- Maintain study financial records and track research accounts, working with research staff, study sponsors, and Accounting department to ensure accurate bookkeeping, invoicing, and accounts payable/receivable
- Working with research staff to ensure proper training and credentialing is maintained
Required Education:
- Associate’s degree or higher training preferred.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous secretarial or administrative assistant experience strongly preferred.
- Previous regulatory document specialist experience is not required; training will be provided
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve independently
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Email
- Ability to manage multiple projects at different stage
- High level of communication of interaction with others is required via direct verbal and telephone dialog and in written form; nature of interactions is to give or receive information and knowledge, and to instruct.
