Description
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated individual to join our Operations Team. The Outreach Services Specialist helps facilitate communication with all Agency clients, staff, and volunteers. This position assists survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault by providing information and referrals, crisis intervention and assistance with scheduling. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, working with a multiline phone system, strong attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to listen to others and display empathy.
Employment Status: Part Time, Hourly Non-Exempt
Reports to: Assistant Director of Operations
Primary Functions:
- Provide initial greeting to callers and visitors in the Corinth Outreach Office.
- Provide support services to all Agency programs and staff by directing all contacts to the appropriate personnel and assisting as appropriate
- Answer, assist, and/or direct incoming business and crisis line calls
- Provide crisis intervention and referrals as needed
- Screen, assess, and schedule intakes
- Provide signed receipts and clear records of any donations received or expenses incurred
- Provide maintenance and supply needs to supervisor
- Preserve and enhance the Agency’s image in the community through all interactions
- At every opportunity, inform community members of services available to victims of relationship violence and sexual assault through Denton County Friends of the Family
- Participate in DCFOF staff and education meetings as requested

Requirements
Prerequisites:
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated ability to listen to others and display empathy
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and other Windows based programs
Preferences:
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Some college with a background in social work, counseling or related field
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to easily climb stairs
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
