The Hospitality Desk Agent contributes to the life-changing work of Denver Rescue Mission. We invite you to join the Mission in the frontline fight to address homelessness in Colorado.
The Hospitality Desk Agent (HDA) is a full-time, non-exempt position of Denver Rescue Mission (DRM). The HDA reports directly to the Hospitality Supervisor and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of The Crossing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify the collection of all program fees through the Scribe database
- Verify monies received from program participants is accounted for
- Complete accounting paperwork each day
- Notify Case Management when program fees are past due through the Incident Reporting system within Scribe
- Answer guest’s questions and deal with guests’ complaints
- Assists Program Coordinators and Custodial staff members with administrative duties
- Educate current and potential participants with Bed Bug protocol and Crossing Community Policies
- Manage the BRIDGE waitlist and schedule Bridge participant intakes
- Keep up to date with the room occupancy rate, rooms available and room status on the Room Availability Report in Scribe
- Complete intakes for incoming participants into the Bridge program for both physical copies and input into Scribe
- Assist with New Life Program Intakes.
- Oversee the sorting and distribution of mail and packages for all participants
- Create and deactivate room keys for all participant rooms, ensuring the safety of The Crossing and access is only granted to appropriate individuals
- Train Participants for their assigned job duties at Hospitality Desk for their Work Readiness assignment. This training will include:
- Devotions for Work Readiness NLP
- Maintenance: All Maintenance requests must be made through Sharepoint. Will be held accountable to follow up and make sure all Maintenance and Custodial issues are resolved by communication in an effective and appropriate manner.
- Clothing/Donations: Oversee the securing and recording of all Gift-in-Kind donations, such as clothing and other goods, in their passage through the Mission.
- Implement and maintain all necessary policies and procedures
- Assist in creating a facility and an environment where the Gospel of Jesus Christ can be shared with all patrons of our outreach ministries, which fosters changed lives.
- Participate in ongoing educational development when and where offered
- Sees to the welfare of all Participants by calling police and paramedics when necessary.
- Assist volunteers with computer registration for volunteered time. Any issues must be directed to the Volunteer Supervisor.
Requirements
- Affirm the Statement of Faith

- Graduation from high school or one year of experience working with the public.
- Strong communication skills both written and orally.
- Proficient with Microsoft office products, excellent computer skills.
- Ability to resolve conflict professionally and respectfully while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Strong Christian ethic with ability to work with people of diverse cultural, educational, and religious backgrounds.
- Basic knowledge of Windows software applications.
NOTE: A limited amount of local work-related travel may be required.

Salary : $18 - $23
