Are you looking to be part of a dynamic team that protects the environment? The California Department of Fish and Wildlife's (CDFW) Executive Administrative Unit (EAU) is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Office Technician (OT) located in downtown Sacramento.

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, Executive Administrative Unit (EAU), the incumbent performs Administrative Support for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Executive Team. Essential functions include lead Agency Telecommunications Representative (ATR), acting as backup to the departments Public Records Act (PRA) GovQA Administrator, administration functions on behalf of the Office of General Counsel (OGC), and other administration functions on behalf of CDFW Executive offices including reception desk duties, Non-IT and IT acquisitions, and project-based assignments.

Working Conditions

Incumbent is expected to work during regular business hours 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday with flexibility to work both remotely and in office. Incumbent is expected to work onsite, in the office, a minimum of two business days per week, possibly more, as determined by business needs. In-office days may include backup reception desk duties where the incumbent is expected to answer the reception phone line, monitor the reception desk email inbox and escort guests while completing other essential job functions as outlined in the duty statement.

Ability to use a computer keyboard several hours a day. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. Attend meetings and work with staff statewide to complete work assignments. Carry a department issued cell phone and be responsive to management.

You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Ability to: Type at a speed of not less than 40 words per minute from ordinary manuscript or printed or typewritten material.
