- Lead and manage joint task force HUMINT operations, including contingency support and technical requirements.
- Direct HUMINT Branch staff to support management of HUMINT collection requirements, reporting, source data, and de-confliction of information.
- Serve as an authority on DoD HUMINT policies, procedures, doctrine, collection, and operations.
- Assist the JX in administrative oversight of personnel management and work closely with the J2X on HUMINT activities.
