What are the responsibilities and job description for the GUIDE II, HISTORICAL MONUMENT (SPECIALIST) position at Department of Water Resources?

The Guide II will oversee and conduct tours of the Romero Visitor Center as well as water safety presentations to visitors daily. Attends public functions and meets with outside organizations and schools as a representative of the Department. The Guide I, HM, assists with performing coverage of the Field Division’s visitor’s center. Gives oral presentations and disseminates information of the State Water Project and may participate in the Department’s Outreach Program.

As a permanent-intermittent position, the incumbent may not exceed working 1,500 hours in a calendar year. Permanent-intermittent (PI) employees are eligible to receive benefits after meeting the required work hour criteria and do receive holiday pay on a pro-rated basis. The scheduled work hours for this position is a minimum of 28-32 hours per week, with 8 hours a day in the office
