Title: Burnishing Operator
Job Summary: A Burnishing Operator is responsible for washing and drying/cleaning of small parts, using specialized cleaning equipment, operating media abrasion equipment, anneal furnaces, and following established procedures and processes with consistency. Responsible for product heat treatment following job specific instruction.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Be knowledgeable with all Marshall procedures and work instructions pertaining to any personal job responsibilities to achieve and maintain maximum quality performance.
- Collects production parts from production area and ensures all lots are properly identified by move ticket/floor traveler or ID tag. Reviews move ticket for any job specific burnishing/cleaning or routing information.
- Demonstrates a knowledge of the various cleaning and deburring solutions used in burnishing area.
- On-the-job training on safe operation of burnishing area equipment.
- Familiarity with chemicals and medias used in the burnishing area and product effect.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- A safety minded individual who follows procedure carefully to complete the job is required.
- Ability to follow written instructions and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Salary : $36,300 - $45,900
