Medical Assistant (URGENT Hire)

We are urgently seeking a dedicated and reliable Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to_ start immediately or by February at the latest. _This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about patient care, highly organized, and ready to contribute in a fast-paced medical environment. This is a small office. This position will also involve working in the front office covering patient check-in/out, telephones, appointment booking, and related office duties. • The ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 year of directly related experience. The candidate should enjoy working with patients, should be an effective communicator, and will need to be organized, efficient, and attentive to detail.
• Initial responsibilities include assisting patients into rooms, obtaining medical history, assisting with office surgery, room and equipment cleanup, notifying patients of biopsy results, stocking supplies, prescription refills, documentation in the computer medical record system (EPIC), and other related duties.
• Accompanies Physician into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and document accurately the Physician's encounter with the patient and others present. Excellent English composition skills are required to generate professional, polished writing at a high rate of production.
• Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the Physician.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
