Job Summary
The DMACC Public Safety Office is seeking a reliable and motivated temporary student worker to assist with various duties. This position involves interacting with students, faculty, and the public, managing phone calls, and handling data entry tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work in a dynamic environment.
Essential Functions
Answer Public Safety Phone: Handle incoming calls promptly and professionally, providing information and assistance as needed.
Greet Students, Faculty, and the Public: Welcome and assist visitors to the Public Safety Office, addressing their inquiries and directing them to appropriate resources.
Take Reports of Crimes: Accurately document and report incidents and crimes as per established protocols.
Data Entry: Enter and maintain data using the Public Safety software program, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Create Photo IDs: Produce photo identification cards for students and staff, following the established procedures.

Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks as required to support the operations of the Public Safety Office.
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled as a student at DMACC.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
