What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Guard position at Desert Mountain Security?
Immediate opening for qualified candidate with a current AZ state issued guard card.
Candidates must be able to possess and maintain an AZ Security Guard Card prior to hire.
Position will maintain a secure and safe environment for industrial and educational business sites. Guards will control access to buildings and patrol assigned areas to ensure protection of clients, visitors, property and equipment. Guards must maintain a high state of public courtesy and professionalism
Responsibilities:
- Conduct foot with observations for irregularities, such as unauthorized personnel, breaches, facility, emergency situations, site safety hazards and violations of site protocols.
- Insure accurate recording of observations and other site requirements.
- Insure proper notifications to site personnel as well as emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel as required.
- Be able to work multiple sites under company and client policies and procedures
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Must be professional and customer service oriented.
- Must be able to accurately record and report observations.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with company, site and public personnel.
- Walk and climb stairs.
- Walk/stand extended periods of time.
- Work outside in extreme weather conditions.
- React and respond in emergency situations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must Have or obtain an AZ state issued Guard Card.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 18 years of age or older
- Be eligible to work in the U.S
- Must be able to pass a drug screening, background check and reference check.
- Must be able to work scheduled hours, Monday-Thursday.
- Must complete probationary period at sites for assignment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
