What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Tech position at Desert Winds Hospital?
We are seeking Mental Health Technicians (MHT's) for all shifts to provide in-patient care to adolescent and adult patients who are undergoing psychiatric care. Make a difference in someone's life by joining Desert Winds Hospital a new behavioral health hospital.
MHT Responsibilities:
- Perform vital signs, body weight, and electrocardiograms.
- Partners with nursing for medication administration.
- Observes and assists patients with personal hygiene.
- Accompanies patients to outside medical appointments.
- Attends and participates in treatment team meetings.
MHT Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Coursework in behavioral sciences preferred.
- Experience in a psychiatric hospital or residential treatment center preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Timely renewal of cardiopulmonary resuscitation for healthcare professionals certification, annual professional skills verification, and CPI certification. Classes are provided by Desert Winds Hospital.
