Design Ready Controls is a leader in control panel building and searching for our next key player to join our production team. As a Wire Harness Assembler, you will be an integral part of our success and growth. This role is responsible for building wire harness products, and more.
This is a second shift position, M-Th (9 hour shift) F (4 hour shift). Flexible start time of 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, or 3:30 pm. Must be able to train on 1st shift.
- Build Wire Harness from documentation
- Crimp terminals on wire
- Read, understand and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, wire lists, etc.
- Make harnesses on harness boards utilizing schematics, 2D documents, and engineering part numbers
- Identify issues with reports and work with engineering to correct issues
- Document QC and problem resolution logs
- Maintain a safe, organized and efficient work area
- Assist in 5S and Lean activities as required
- Identify and assist in process improvement measures
- Assist in training measures as needed
- Assist in other areas of manufacturing as needed
- Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent
- Proficiency using precision measurement tools (tape measure, ruler, etc.)
- Experience working in an ISO environment preferred
- High motivation level and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work with independently with limited supervision
- Ability to work well with others
- Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills
- Safety awareness and practice
- Good math and communication skills
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English without the aid of an interpreter
- Ability to work overtime depending on workload
