Interior Designer (1–3 Years Experience) - Reston, VA

Our client, an award-winning architecture firm based in Reston, VA, is seeking an Interior Designer to contribute to their diverse portfolio and help shape the spaces where people live, work, and connect.
This Interior Designer will work from conceptual design through construction administration, using their technical skills in Revit to deliver exceptional spaces for clients. You will assist in translating design intent into detailed, buildable documents and help craft the materials, palettes, and furnishings that bring spaces to life. This is an opportunity to grow your technical expertise while playing a key role in developing interior environments that are as functional as they are beautiful.
Some key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Supporting design and technical development from schematic design to construction administration.
- Preparing clear, complete construction documents using Revit.
- Executing markups accurately and efficiently.
- Reviewing shop drawings and RFIs with attention to design intent and constructability.
- Assisting in material, finish, and furniture selection, including artwork and lighting.
- Creating compelling visual presentations for client meetings.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in interior design or design consultancy.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA-accredited program.
- Professional experience using Revit is required.
- Familiarity with SketchUp, Rhino, and/or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and a desire to grow within a supportive firm culture.
- Actively pursuing growth within the company and industry, including NCIDQ/CID, LEED, WELL, or other accreditations, is a plus!
