About Destination Rehab
Destination Rehab is a Central Oregon nonprofit 501(c)3, delivering neurologic physical
therapy through real‑world, outdoor experiences. We specialize in working with adults
affected by stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, spinal cord
injury, cerebral palsy, and other neurologic conditions. Our mission is to empower
participants to regain mobility, independence, and confidence to get them back
outdoors!
Position Overview
We seek a passionate Part-Time Physical Therapist with expertise in neurologic
rehabilitation and enthusiasm for the outdoors. This role includes both clinic-based and
outdoor therapy sessions, helping clients build functional movement skills in the
environments that matter most to them.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough neurologic evaluations and design individualized treatment
plans.
Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions outdoors (e.g., trails, riverbanks, parks),
using nature as a therapeutic setting.
Teach clients and families home exercise programs and skills for outdoor and
community mobility.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal
guidelines.
Qualifications
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
Current Oregon Physical Therapist license.
Preferred: Board certification in neurologic physical therapy (e.g. NCS, MSCS).
Experience or strong interest in treating stroke, MS, Parkinson’s, TBI, SCI, or CP.
Enthusiasm for outdoor environments and ability to adapt sessions to community
settings.
Excellent communication skills and a client-centered mindset.
