Your Role as a Collections/ Contract Coordinator
· Prompt contact with the payer source for a potential Level of Agreement (LOA) for a non-contracted health plan. Assist the Destiny Organizations listed above with initial and updating of contracts, and issues related to patient’s insurance obtaining pre-authorization, deductible, and share of cost due from patients before care is initiated and assist in resolving all insurance-related issues for hospice room and board, and commercial insurance payments.
· Approach insurance companies and health plans responsible for payment when there are changes in patient coverage or terminations of coverage.
· Coordinates with all health plan changes in our patient’s coverage for home health, hospice & palliative care, and CLHF services.
· Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement terms with clients to resolve overdue accounts.
· Identify potential financial risks related to contract payment terms and overdue accounts.
· Collaborate with other departments (e.g., legal, finance, and customer service) to align collection efforts with company goals.
· Generate and review regular reports on outstanding accounts, collection efforts, and contract performance.
· Assists in the preparation of monthly admissions and accounts payable/receivable reports for al Agencies.
· Maintains complete and accurate accounts payable/receivable records, and present to owners on demand.
· Analyze collection data to identify trends and implement process improvement.
· Manage and review contractual agreements to ensure all terms are adhered to, focusing on collection-related clauses.
· Notifies the Account Department, and upper management immediately upon contract termination and failure to renegotiate the contract to an affordable rate for financial sustainability that may result in the delay of patient care.
· Assists the Accountant & CFO in the preparation of the annual budget and documents for internal and external audits.
· Performs monthly billing audits for all Agencies. Identify issues with billing and collection, and or lower admission that may not meet the operational expencies

Position Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years medical billing and coding certificate with experience in collection, and health plans contracting and contract negotiation, pre-authorizations, and related duties
· General knowledge of typing, Excel, Micro Soft office
· Previous or extensive knowledge of health plans, insurance, and contract negotiations.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Health Plans and Payers
· Effective social interaction, communication, and organization skills. Ability to perform a variety of related and unrelated tasks efficiently.
· Personal and reliable transportation for travel to and from work
· Must maintain a valid driver’s license
· Must carry and maintain auto liability insurance coverage.

Pay Range;
$26.00-35.00/Hourly Depending on Experience
