DevCo is seeking a full-time Project Accountant to join our team in Bellevue, WA. The Project Accountant is responsible for managing the full cycle of subcontract and job cost accounting processes for multiple projects.

Job Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and generate all subcontract documents, including change orders, pay applications, retention documentation and statement of values.
- Enter commitments into the accounting software system according to contract terms.
- Process Sub-Contractor Monthly Draws, reviewing for accuracy and conformity with contract specifications. Submit to project managers for approval and coordinate with Controller for bank funding and payment release.
- Generate and update internal pay applications, reviewing subcontract billing documents including supplier lien releases for preparation of joint checks, if required.
- Maintain and update internal Subcontract Master reports spreadsheet. Follow up on pending contracts and certificates of insurance for subcontractors or on-site vendors.
- Track and record pre-lien notices for subcontractors and AP vendors, obtaining lien releases to pay.
- Post and generate monthly job cost billing detail reports.
- Tracking of utilities.
- Process Accounts Payable.
- Prepare bank reconciliations.
- Provide audit support as needed.
- Attend training classes as scheduled and assigned.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
• Associates or Bachelors degree in business, accounting, finance, or similar field a plus (or equivalent combination of education and/or experience).
• 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with a construction company
• Excellent systems skills including ERPs, excel, word, Docusign, and other software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Yardi preferred.
• Successful completion of background check and drug screen required.
• Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines.
• 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with a construction company
