Maintenance Worker

Maintenance Worker

A Maintenance Worker is responsible for the general upkeep of corporate properties and rental units, which includes tasks like cleaning, painting, and using various power and hand tools. The role may involve performing semi-skilled repairs in rental units, such as handling minor plumbing and carpentry work. Additionally, the Maintenance Worker will operate and maintain power machinery, ensuring all equipment remains in good working order. Ground maintenance is also part of the role, encompassing mowing, spraying, fertilizing, and applying chemical weed control to keep outdoor areas well-maintained.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• One year of experience in a custodial/housekeeping position is preferred.
• Previous experience in developmental disability residential services is preferred.
• Any combination of training and experience which demonstrates an ability to perform the duties as described.

Additional Requirements:

• Availability to work Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursday and Friday shifts are flexible and can be worked before, during, or after business hours.
• Position requires successful completion of criminal background, child abuse and neglect check, and a pre-employment drug test to be eligible for employment.
• Current and valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and insurable driving record following company guidelines.

• The hourly wage for this position is $20.00/hr.
