Job Title: Facilities Specialist
Reports To: Facilities Manager
Summary
Under general supervision, performs skilled maintenance, repairs, and construction work to ensure that facilities are properly maintained and meet standards. Assists Facilities Manager in planning work and identifying supply needs. Duties may fall into a variety of trades, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, energy management, fire and life safety and keys/security systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with repairs and maintenance.
- Monitor and evaluate the condition of the agency’s property.
- Identifies solutions needed to solve maintenance and repair issues.
- Maintains maintenance logs for agencies owned vehicles.
- Coordinates service providers for maintenance and repairs.
- Performs general repairs on agency vehicles.
- Responds to maintenance emergency calls.
- Responds and completes Work Orders.
- Coordinates inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education level.
- 18 years or older.
- Three years’ experience in the building or property maintenance field.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in CPR/First Aid.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Blood Borne Pathogens, Systemic Instruction Strategies, Abuse/Neglect, HIPAA, Confidentiality, and Behavior training.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Class E driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug test.
- Must pass a background check including criminal record and driving record.
- Ability to perform each essential duty and responsibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding Time Management capabilities.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, occasionally above shoulder level.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds; this may be more with certain types of work assignments.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to operate power equipment.
