DESCRIPTION:
Ideal job for a college student or part-time second job. Lead and supervise a team of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in the dish room at Carle Foundation Hospital. No experience required – will train.RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Supported Employment Shift Leader at DSC, you will support and supervise a small crew of individuals washing dishes at Carle Hospital. You will also be responsible for the completion of all program and agency documentation for maintaining compliance with regulations. Additionally, you will provide training and support for skills necessary for successful community employment. Each day, you will be engaged in rewarding work where you will play an integral role in the success of the company and our mission to support people in living a rich and meaningful life.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Above average communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to manage and address multiple and changing priorities.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and to problem-solve in a constructive and respectful manner.
- Sufficient physical stamina and mobility for lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination required.
HOURS:
- Typically 4:00pm – 8:30pm weekdays or shifts between 6:00am and 8:30pm weekends: 20-25 hours per week.
