What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Developmental Services Continuum, Inc.?
We are looking to hire for evenings and weekends. No experience necessary for entry level positions, we provide paid training.
Locations: Lakeside, El Cajon, La Mesa, San Diego.
Pay up to $16/hr depending on experience and certifications.
Duties:
Assist client in maintaining the cleanliness of their residence, including household chores, room cleaning, and personal laundry. Report and document medical information. Supervise client in meal preparation & cleanup. Assist with personal hygiene care. Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum 6 months experience working in an ARF (preferably level 4 I or H)
- CPR
- First Aid
- Therap Electronic Record
- Direct Support Professional I
- Direct Support Professional II
- Medication Administration Management
- Professional Assault Crisis Training: Pro-ACT
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to communicate verbally in English with client
- Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including but not limited to; walk, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, push, pull and lift items weighing 50 pounds or less repeatedly during a shift
- Must clear health screen, tuberculosis test, drug screen and a background check through the Department of Justice and FBI
