Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Transportation Driver to support individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will assist individuals in maintaining independence, performing daily living skills, and accessing the community. You will also ensure safe and compliant vehicle operation for transportation needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform safety and maintenance inspections of vehicles daily.
- Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and other engagements while adhering to all vehicle operation rules and regulations.
- Communicate and document important information accurately.
- Maintain a safe and respectful environment while promoting individual choice and dignity.
Qualifications
- Minimum 25 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid Chauffeur’s license.
- Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, Non-violent Crisis Systems, and Medication Aid (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Must have reliable and safe transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting/transferring individuals, assisting with personal care, and performing CPR.
- Capability to navigate steps and barriers in various environments.
- Willingness to assist with minor maintenance tasks
Pay
Hourly, non-exempt
Schedule/Status:
This is a part time position (less than 30 hours per week) This is a split shift position. Estimated start time: 6:45 AM-8:30 AM and 3:00 PM-4:15 PM
