Hiring Bonus: $500
Located on a beautiful 10-acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale, Devereux Arizonas 24-hour Residential Treatment Center (RTC) has the capacity to serve 48 children. The RTC is a safe, supportive environment that provides various services to youth, from the ages of 5 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges. The Campus features dormitories, a therapeutic K-12 day school, food services, medical/nursing, and therapy services.
Reporting to the Clinical Program Manager, the Recreation Technician (Activities Assistant) p lans and implements structured activities for the RTC. This position will perform a variety of programming, technical, and clerical functions related to recreation. Job duties include working with clients, staff and volunteers, monitoring day-to-day operation of groups and facilities, and performing clerical duties such documentation, filing, and inventory.
Pay Range: $18 - $19.80 / hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older
HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree in a related field preferred
Minimum of six (6) months experience in recreational activities
Previous experience in a behavioral healthcare setting with children/adolescents required
OTHER:
Must be available to attend 2 weeks of required orientation training (paid, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm) plus additional 2-3 weeks on the job training
Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment
Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
