Automobile Technician

Job Summary

DeVoe Chevrolet in Alexandria, Indiana has an immediate need for an automotive technician with entry level or C level experience to diagnose and repair new and used cars and trucks. Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform work assigned within a reasonable time.
• Diagnose Cause and malfunction and repair the vehicle.
• Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
• Communicate with serice advisor immediately if additional service work is needed.
• Attend GM sponsored training classes and scheduled service meetings.
• Communicate with the parts department needed parts to complete task.Keep equipment and work area clean and neat.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have basic automotive repair skills. Previous GM repair experience is preferred.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with clear legible handwriting.
• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a backgournd check.
• Must posess tools to essential perform daily task.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
