BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The Chemical Technologist will be responsible for assisting the production chemical program, along with any work that pertains to protecting our producing assets as well as providing support in the areas of corrosion prevention and chemical treatment/optimization in the field. Job duties will include acting as a liaison between the chemical company representatives and the Technical Service Foreman. This person will work with the chemical providers in order to solve problems and provide solutions to leadership. The role will be responsible for overseeing chemical usage, application, failure analysis, and success or failure of treatment. They will assist the Technical Service Foreman and production team anytime support is needed.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience
Requires a minimum of 2 years of related industry experience in lease operations or chemical operations.

Job Responsibilities
- Has the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected.
- Communicate with Technical Service Foreman, Lease Operators, Assistant Production Foreman and Production Foreman about chemicals, injection rates and chemical injection/storage equipment used in their area.
- Monitor chemical program to improve cost effectiveness
- Review vendor reports documenting the usage, cost and effectiveness of the chemical program and highlight data for Field Supervision.
- Work with the Technical Service Foreman by monitoring chemical usage to optimize the chemical program with the goal to minimize chemical cost and asset failures.
- Assist in deploying new chemical opportunities, strategies to lower operational costs, ways to increase job efficiency and safety improvements.
- Work with Technical Service Foreman to troubleshoot areas of concern.
- Work with chemical vendors to improve service by highlighting and communicating areas for improvement.
- Participate in weekly chemical review with all chemical vendors.
- Have an understanding of economic evaluations and indicators and their effect on the area of responsibility.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations with strong support of the OKC staff.

- Strong communication skills with a willingness and ability to verbally communicate up and down the organizational chart.
- Strong computer skills and proficient with spreadsheet software.
