Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District invites you to become an integral part of our team! We are looking for a LVN to join Dalhart Family Medicine Clinic. The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a physician. The LVN will assist with patient assessments, administer medications, perform routine lab tests, and provide patient education. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent healthcare in a family-focused environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assesses and records patient vital signs, blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respirations, weight and length measurements as appropriate for age as evidenced in chart review.
- Assists with and prepares patients for exams and procedures after assessing patients understanding and consent.
- Ensure patients progress by following up with the patient and ensuring medication is picked up on a timely basis.
- Provides care appropriate for the neonate and the pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients served based on demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
- Maintains a current inventory of supplies and periodically reviews the stock levels needed with the supervisor, maintains exam rooms and laboratory in the same manner
